Vacations

Vacations are a time for connecting with children.

At Koriphey, we use a special way to plan school time. We call it "5+1". This means students study for five weeks, then have one week off. We do this for a few reasons:

  1. Research shows kids learn better when they have regular breaks.
  2. It helps students stay excited about school all year.
  3. Families can plan short trips throughout the year, not just in summer.

Vacation Schedule for the 2024-2025 Academic Year

We have carefully planned the vacation schedule, considering the natural cycles of academic activity and rest needs:
* October 7-13: Autumn break
* November 18-24: Time to sum up initial results
* December 30 - January 12: New Year holidays
* February 17-23: Winter break (for 1st grades)
* March 31 - April 6: Spring renewal
* May 5-11: May holidays
* June 27 - August 31: Summer vacation

Summer City Camp: Adventures Close to Home

Summer is a special time for our students. In mid-June, our city camp opens its doors for two weeks. It's not just a place to spend time, but a real kaleidoscope of exciting activities and new discoveries. A powerful team of counselors from senior Korifey accompanies all camp events and programs.

What awaits children in our camp?
* Exciting quests developing logic and team spirit
* Intellectual games and quizzes expanding horizons
* Creative contests revealing talents
* Excursions to theaters and museums, immersing in the world of art
* Various interest-based clubs
* Refreshing visits to the pool
* An exciting tourist rally teaching survival skills in nature

Every day in the camp is a new adventure that will leave bright memories for the whole year!

August Intensive: A Soft Return to Studies

From August 21 to 26, we conduct a unique August intensive. It's not just preparation for the academic year, but a real festival of knowledge and friendship.

The intensive program includes:
* Engaging immersion in the learning process
* Team-building trainings and games helping to unite the collective
* Developmental activities awakening interest in studies
* Preparation for the solemn assembly - the first celebration of the new academic year.

This intensive helps children smoothly transition from summer rest to the academic rhythm, meet friends, and tune in for a productive year.

Tips for Parents on Making Breaks Fun:

  1. Plan breaks with your kids. This teaches them to be responsible.
  2. Let kids help choose where to go. They'll be more interested.
  3. Talk about safety rules before trips. This teaches responsibility too.
  4. Visit museums and shows. This helps kids learn new things.
  5. Encourage reading and creative activities. This keeps their minds active.

Remember: Breaks are for rest and fun. Try not to give kids extra schoolwork during this time. Let breaks be a time to relax and get ready for the next school period.

At our school, we don't just teach - we try to balance learning and rest. We think this helps students do their best. Our "5+1" plan isn't just about classes and breaks. It's about making each week of learning exciting, and each break a time to enjoy what they've learned and get ready for more.
