Learning independence is an important quality where a child can set goals, outline a plan to achieve them, and make efforts to obtain results even without external motivation and control. Ultimately, the goal of our educational program is the independence of the graduate as a foundation for any life plans.
What is learning independence built on?
- Initiative – the child actively and energetically engages in solving various tasks. They offer ideas, solutions, and want to implement them.
- Critical thinking – the child is able to understand, evaluate the situation, and make their own reasoned judgment.
- Adequate self-esteem – the child knows their capabilities and understands what external resources and help they will need for results.
- Positive experience – the child has tried to be independent, they already have independent victories, and they REALLY LIKE it.
Why is student independence important to us? It is the foundation of:
- confidence in one's abilities – I can definitely do it if I make an effort; I've succeeded before
- freedom – I don't depend on the time and resources of others
- safety – I don't commit thoughtless actions
- responsibility – I can explain the results because they are the consequence of my efforts
Independent work is the main condition for the ability to learn and for student success! It helps the child overcome difficulties, supports the desire to express themselves in activities, promotes the ability to communicate with other participants in the educational process, make decisions, and complete academic work qualitatively and on time!
Who among us doesn't dream that their child will stand firmly on their own feet, be confident in their abilities, and move towards goals? And the main resource for such a result is independence!
Independence is the child's ability to manage without adult help, to request and receive necessary assistance on their own initiative.
Our teachers and caregivers will always come to help if the child has difficulties in completing independent tasks!
Our parents will always support the motivation for student independence! After all, the child's successful future depends on this quality!
